8 Southern governorships are up this year; 4 of those races are competitive
Races are competitive in Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma and Tennessee, where two-term Republican governors are retiring this year.
Incumbent Republicans are favored in the other four states: Alabama, Arkansas, South Carolina and Texas.
